Overview


The program was started in 1966 and to date 99 Ph.D.s have been granted and 56 Postdoctoral Fellows have received or are currently receiving training. The Biological Psychology program emphasizes:

  • core course studies stressing the interrelationship between biology and psychology;
  • laboratory experience providing hands-on training in basic and/or applied clinical research;
  • special seminars focusing on substance abuse research and clinical aspects of chemical dependency; and
  • specialization opportunities through advanced elective courses and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
