The program was started in 1966 and to date 99 Ph.D.s have been granted and 56 Postdoctoral Fellows have received or are currently receiving training. The Biological Psychology program emphasizes:
- core course studies stressing the interrelationship between biology and psychology;
- laboratory experience providing hands-on training in basic and/or applied clinical research;
- special seminars focusing on substance abuse research and clinical aspects of chemical dependency; and
- specialization opportunities through advanced elective courses and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
