![]() Every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. the Center for Tobacco Use Reduction at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center conducts a Readiness to Quit Clinic. This free clinic (which is open to veterans, their friends and family, and VA employees) helps you decide if you're ready to quit smoking*. We will discuss important information about nicotine patches and medication available to help with nicotine withdrawal symptoms such as irritability and fatigue. We will also share tips to help you break your smoking habit. If it's not possible for you to join us in Oklahoma City this presentation covers much of the same information and will show you how you can request nicotine patches and medication and use online support to help you become a quitter. * Adapted from Stages of Change Model by Prochaska and DiClemente. |
